Apologia pro sua Quid-Nunc
Quid-Nunc is what happens when a book like Thomas Hope's Costumes of the Ancients falls into the hands of a Ph.D. (In this case, it means "Pool-hall Deadbeat.") Still, Latinists and other Classics-types are endangered species if ever there were any, and they could use a chuckle or two as they trudge their forlorn path into extinction. Ergo, Quid-Nunc will appear each Tuesday and Friday. And even if they can draw no solace from this effort, it'll keep me out of pool halls.
And for those of you who have no classical background, fret not. It's probably funnier that way.
